Meet Skip

People's Choice Finalist

Meet Skip

Breed: Greyhound x

Barking from: Tauranga

What's up dog?

Skip is involved in everything we do - he is our home buddy, as well as fishing dog, hunting pal, goes moutainbiking and paddle boarding and of course he comes to the office too. Skip is very active and joins us on all the adventures but he is also there to ground us and keep us in the moment to enjoy the little things in life which we are happy to share with him! :-) In 2023 Skip is still an inspiration to not just dogs, also humans, to all the adventures he goes on and how he masters uncomfortable situations in his life and just punches through it. Skip was found in a clothing bin (a Skip) and has developed from a flee-riddled half dead dog to an adventure dog, who is going fishing, hunting and now even flying embracing the NZ Lifestyle as much as possible. Skip is always with us, sometimes a bit concerned or worried, but overcomes his fears (like long swingbridges) and insipires people on his Instagram to get out there to do more adventures in the beautiful country we live in! Also what you might recall, is that I got Skip when I just went through Chemotherapy and wanted someone who keeps me on track and in the moment of life, rather than rushing along forgetting to live! He has definitely achieved that and we found the perfect balance with him speeding up with me, but also him helping me to stop and smell the roses (or poo when I have to pick it up! Haha ;-)
